About 2025 Development Report on Chinese Enterprises in the UK
2025 marks the sixth consecutive year that the China Chamber of Commerce in the UK (CCCUK) has published the Development Report on Chinese Enterprises in the UK. The report continues to attract wide attention from policymakers, business leaders and stakeholders in both China and the UK and has become an important reference for understanding the development of Chinese enterprises operating in the UK.
The research and publication of this year’s report come at a time when China–UK relations are continuing to improve, bilateral dialogue mechanisms are being gradually resumed, and both China’s 15th Five-Year Plan and the UK’s Modern Industrial Strategy have been introduced. Against the backdrop of continuing changes in the global political and economic environment, the report focuses on how Chinese enterprises in the UK are adapting to evolving geopolitical, regulatory and market conditions. Based on surveys and in-depth interviews with Chinese companies operating in the UK, the report analyses their business performance, contributions to the UK economy, investment outlook, key challenges and long-term priorities, with particular attention to areas of policy alignment between the two countries, emerging opportunities for cooperation, localisation and sustainable growth.
