In order to build on China-UK economic and trade cooperation and dialogue, share success stories and other important areas of achievement in China-UK cooperation, and share experiences, the CCCUK will present the “2021 CCCUK Outstanding Achievement Award” on its 20^thanniversary.

CCCUK offers a platform for China-UK economic and trade cooperation with an international perspective and reach. With the “2021 CCCUK Outstanding Achievement Award” the CCCUK aims to give recognition to companies that have made outstanding contributions to China-UK business development, demonstrated successful China-UK cooperation, shown evidence of entrepreneurial innovation, adhered to exemplary ESG standard (environment, social responsibility and corporate governance) related principles, and encouraged more Chinese and UK companies to make positive contributions to overall China-UK cooperation. The award ceremony will be held at the “2021 CCCUK Annual Conference and 20^th Anniversary Celebration”.

Below are the details of the “2021 CCCUK Outstanding Achievement Award”:

1. Four Award Categories

(1) China-UK Business Cooperation Award

(number of awardees: 1-3 enterprises)

The award aims to reward enterprises that have made significant contributions towards promoting China-UK business cooperation and friendly relations, enhanced cooperation between the two countries, and tangibly supported the development of China-UK trade and commerce.

(2) Sustainable and Green Project Award

(number of awardees: 1-3 enterprises)

This award aims to recognise companies that have developed green project that promote progress towards the goals of “Peak Emissions” and “Carbon Neutrality” in business operations, promote the transformation of the economic growth model, help prevent and control pollution, cope with climate change, and improve energy efficiency, energy conservation, and emissions reduction. Projects might include, but are not limited to innovative applications or technology applied to environmental protection, policy, finance, science, industry, services, medical care, and/or talent development, etc.

(3) Technology Innovation Award

(number of awardees: 1-3 enterprises)

This award is designed to recognise enterprises’ outstanding achievements in technology innovation, which might be evidenced by successful technical transformation programmes, new inventions or devices, excellent service, etc. These might include, but not be limited to product or service innovation, technology upgrades, green technology, Fintech, research, to encourage innovation in technology research and development.

(4) Social Responsibility Award

(number of awardees: 1-3 enterprises)

The award aims to recognise Chinese or UK enterprises that have made significant contributions to corporate social responsibility, encouraged enterprises to focus on achieving a balance between economic, social and environmental objectives, including, but not limited to charity projects, products that promote and support sustainability, environmental health, making a tangible contribution to local communities, public welfare education and/or socially responsible investment, etc.

2. Application Process

(1) Applications will be closed on 19^th November, 2021 (Application Form enclosed).

(2) The Award Working Group will score each application based on the evaluation criteria, and select 1-3 finalists for each award category.

(3) The CCCUK Supervisory and Management Committee will review the primary appraisal results.

(4) The Award Review Committee will review and confirm the final winner list.

3. Award Ceremony

The Award Ceremony will be held on 9^th December, 2021 at the “2021 CCCUK Annual Conference and 20^th Anniversary Celebration”. The winners of the Award will be announced and presented with trophies during the ceremony. The award results will also be publicised on CCCUK’s website, the WeChat official account and across other media channels.

4. Application Requirements

(1) Both Chinese or British enterprises are welcome to apply for the awards.

(2) Each candidate can apply for a maximum of two awards.

(3) Projects need to have entered the implementation stage with evidence of practical performance, tangible achievement or measurable impact.

(4) Projects and any information disclosed should be consistent with your company’s legal, risk, compliance and confidentiality requirements.

5. Applying for the Award

All candidates are welcome to apply for the award. Please complete the Application Form(attached) and send it to: info@chinachamber.org.uk before 19^th November, 2021 (Friday). If you have any supporting material such as documents, pictures, videos, etc., please attach them to the application.
