In order to encourage greater UK-China business cooperation and deepen trade ties, the China Chamber of Commerce in the UK will be holding online ‘the 4th China-UK Economic and Trade Forum’ and the launch ceremony of ‘2021 Report on the Development of Chinese Enterprises in the UK’ in November 2021.
This year’s Forum will highlight the theme ‘Deepening China-UK Green Cooperation – New Normal, New Opportunities’. This event will include a number of keynote speeches and panel discussions promoting deeper understanding between the UK and China. The keynote speech section intends to invite speakers including the Chinese Ambassador to the UK, representatives of the UK’s Department for International Trade, and the Lord Mayor of the City of London. We also intend to invite leaders of British business associations to deliver keynote speeches in the panel sessions before panel discussions.
The first panel of the event will focus on how business communities can jointly create new opportunities for UK-China economic and trade exchanges in green growth. In addition, the forum will also include discussions in the second panel with topics involving UK-China cooperation opportunities for ‘carbon neutral’ practices and development paths against the backdrop of global green transformation. We have invited leading representatives to partake in the discussions, including politicians, business leaders and academics to share their success stories in the realm of UK-China business cooperation, and what they think the future development trend would be while we adapt to the new normal. At present, the event is still in the preparation stage, and the specific content will be decided according to the final agenda.
