The unprecedented impact of the pandemic and ongoing technological development has led to the flourish of “Hybrid Working”. “Option” and “Flexibility” have become more and more important items on the employee-experience scorecard, bringing new opportunities and challenges for employers globally. Right now, Chinese companies in the UK and Europe are exploring the implications of this transition of work, workforce, and workplace, with a strong mentality to win and thrive.

Under this circumstance, the CCCUK has organised an in-person seminar on Thursday 2nd March responding to our members’ requests, inviting Deloitte Consulting to share their insights and recommendations on “The Future of Hybrid Working“. We sincerely invite you to attend the seminar.

Through a series of specific topics and practical case studies, we are looking forward to providing Chinese overseas businesses with international perspectives, helping them put these perspectives into the Chinese context.

The seminar will be hosted by Louise Brett, Vice Chairman of Deloitte UK, and Wenqing Zhu, Head of China Desk. The following SMEs have been invited to share their insights and perspectives:

  • Davinder Kang, Workforce Insight and Transformation Lead for Financial Services within Deloitte’s Human Capital practice, will present the 2023 Global Human Capital Survey insights, including the implications of hybrid working to human resource management.
  • Philip Parnell, Real Estate Valuation Partner and his colleagues, will share insights on 2023 London Office Crane Survey, and potential opportunities for office leasing cost optimisation.
  • Traian Ivanov, Personal Tax Partner, and David Fallon, Corporate Tax Director, will share perspectives on tax implications under the hybrid working models, especially in the context that Chinese overseas legal entities and branches are facing more stringent legal and compliance risks.
  • Andrew Lilley, Employment Law Partner, will share compliance challenges related to employment law, including workplace mental health, training, contracting, and termination of employment.
