China Chamber of Commerce in the UK, the 48 Group Club and the China-Britain Business Council will co-host the “Icebreakers” 2023 Annual Chinese New Year Dinner on Wednesday 8^th February 2023 at 18:00 at The Dorchester, 53 Park Lane W1K 1QA.

With the theme of ” Celebrating Chinese New Year   Embarking on a New Journey “, the event aims to bring together representatives from different sectors across the UK and China to explore new opportunities for co-operation, discuss new development of economic and trade relations between China and the UK, and further enhance the influence of Chinese enterprises in the UK.

The “Icebreakers” Chinese New Year Dinner has become a flagship event for the Chinese and British business communities, with around 500 representatives from fields of political, business, academic and other sectors of both countries attending each year.

Over the past many years, the “Icebreakers” Chinese New Year event has been strongly supported and encouraged by Chinese government officials and leaders. Chinese President XI Jinping sent a congratulatory message to the event in 2022; Chinese Vice Premier LI Keqiang sent a congratulatory letter to the event in 2019 and a video message in 2021; and Chinese Vice Premier HU Chunhua sent a congratulatory message to the event in 2020.

This year’s event is our first in-person Chinese New Year event since the pandemic. H.E. ZHENG Zeguang, Chinese Ambassador to the UK; FANG Wenjian，Chairman of the CCCUK and General Manager of the Bank of China London Branch; Stephen Perry, Chairman of the 48 Group Club; Sir Sherard Cowper-Coles, Chairman of the China-Britain Business Council and Global Head of Public Affairs of HSBC Group, and other guests will  from both China and the UK.

All members are welcomed to participate in the event by purchasing ticket(s) or table(s), please note that seating availability is limited.

Details for ticket purchases are as follows:

• Individual ticket: £ 190 +VAT per person
• Table ticket (12 ppl): £ 2,280 +VAT
• Sponsors can have their name and logo displayed on the table and invite their customers to attend the event
• If you have already purchased tickets through the 48 Group Club, please do not buy tickets again.
