Since the outbreak of COVID-19, China has received backing from across the world. Despite the current challenges, individuals and organisations in the UK have supported China’s efforts and remained confident in its resilience to overcome the crisis. During dark times, joint efforts will be the key to victory therefore China-UK must stand together, united against the virus. 

In order to show the tremendous efforts China have made against the epidemic, and to express UK’s confidence and support for China, the China Chamber of Commerce in the UK and the City of London will host the “UK and China, United We Stand” event at Guildhall on Friday February 28th  2020. H.E.LIU Xiaoming, Chinese Ambassador to the United Kingdom; Alderman William Russell, Rt. Hon Lord Mayor of  the City of London, Mr Fang Wenjian, Chairman of the China Chamber of Commerce in the UK. Mr Richard Burn, Her Majesty’s Trade Commissioner, Lord Sassoon, President of the China-Britain Business Council, Mr Stephen Perry, Chairman of The 48 Group Club will present speeches, and other 300 distinguished guests will attend the event.

This event will be co-hosted by the China Chamber of Commerce in the UK and City of London, and supported by the China-Britain Business Council, The 48 Group Club, Great Britain China Centre, China Media Group and IoD. The central theme of the event will be ‘Together We Fight Against the Virus’.

A three-minute short film on China’s fight against epidemic produced by China Media Group will be played at the event. China Media Group will record the entire event to fuel and support China’s fight against the epidemic.
