Over 16 years of development, Huawei has formed strategic partnerships with all mainstream operators, including BT, EE, and Vodafone, to support the broadband roll out in the UK. Huawei has R&D offices in Cambridge, Bristol, and Ipswich, and has established joint innovation centers with both BT and Vodafone. The company also partners with over 20 UK universities on joint R&D projects, including University of Cambridge, University of Oxford, and Imperial College London. In 2011, Huawei launched its CSR flagship program, Seeds for the Future, in the UK. To date, over 200 UK university students have participated in the month-long program, pursuing language and culture study, visiting Huawei’s facilities in China and attending ICT workshops to enhance their digital skills.
